Choosing aromatherapy oils

October 12, 2017

To use oils is a very individual thing, you have to find out what works FOR YOU to make it valid! I have chosen oils I know work - because I've used them myself - and I know the way they work and the way I react to it.... and my husband is also trying it out and feels the benefits, too!

I use it in my daily life as well. I make my own body bath oil; an oil you massage into your skin before your shower, it leaves your body feeling good and hydrated, and the aroma I have chosen works almost as a perfume. I rarely use soap. I find that it dries out the skin, and I have a feeling that the backs of my hands have a look of papyrus..... so I try to use oil.

I  use coconut oil for a multitude of things; teeth and breath, lip cream in winter, hair mask. With added oils you can suddenly also use it for perfume and skincare. When I do a massage oil I use argan oil or a mix of coconut and other oils so it's liquid. To top it up I use a nice grape oil, fragrance free and eco friendly. But have a look around for a carrier oil you like to work with and use!

I make sure that the ethics behind my aromatherapy is always supported; after all, I am working on a vibrational level so I make sure that the oil I give away are oils I myself would use!

AND if you put it on a small piece of cloth and put in your bra, it will make the aroma stay with you all day.

- ylang ylang oil

AND it is helpful if you have problems sleeping; just wash face and breast and add a drop of oil on your wet hands and make a small upper body massage.

I have realized that I also have to find a grounding oil, an undertone fragrance and haven't decided yet!  I was thinking about vetiver, cedar wood or ho wood as they are also known to me. I will go further into the details of these when I have chosen which ones to work with!

Can't wait to get on with stuff!
